Privacy Policy — AL Photography

AL Photography (“we”, “us”) provides graduation photography. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@al-photography.com.

• When you book: your name, email, phone number, university, college (if applicable), graduation date and time, chosen package, and anything you tell us.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We don’t see or store your card details.
• Your photographs taken at your shoot.
• Referral data: if you use or share a referral or ambassador link, we record who referred whom so we can apply the right discounts and rewards.
• Website usage: basic, essential cookies needed to run the site.

• To provide your shoot and deliver your photos — to perform our contract with you.
• To email and text you about your booking (payment link, reminders, confirmation, your gallery) — contract and our legitimate interest in running the service.
• To take payment — to perform our contract; Stripe acts on our behalf.
• To run the referral and ambassador schemes — contract and legitimate interests.
• To feature your photos in our marketing — only with your consent (see below).

We will only use your images, first name, university or college, and combined social-media view counts in our marketing — our website portfolio, our social media, and our ads — if you give us consent (the optional step when you book, or by email). This is optional and your shoot is the same either way. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@al-photography.com; we will stop using your images in new marketing and remove them from our website where we reasonably can.

• The photographer assigned to your shoot, so they can deliver it.
• Service providers acting on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), IONOS (email and hosting), and our website and booking platform.
• We do not sell your personal data.

• Booking and contact details: as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and tax obligations (financial records are typically kept for up to six years).
• Photographs: kept in your private gallery and our archive unless you ask us to delete them.
• Marketing-consented images: until you withdraw consent.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, ask for portability, and withdraw any consent. Email hello@al-photography.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
